So lovely, Debbie! Like you I love spring - over here there are huge numbers of cowslips in bloom on roadside verges, central reservations and people's lawns - they're beautiful. This last weekend I've seen my first bluebells, stitchwort and swallows - two of them (they say 'one swallow doesn't make a summer' - but neither do two in April!). Nice to see migrant birds so early - although it's still pretty chilly for them!
Such a lovely comment Rebecca! Thank you! I've never visited your area, but love all the pictures I see from my IG friends that live there. Loved all your beautiful signs of spring---just made me want to jump right into your scenic world. Groupings of cow slips sound so beautiful. I also love all your bluebells--love seeing pics of them in wooded areas. I planted some here in my gardens and they actually bloomed last year. They are so pretty!
Many of our warm weather birds have arrived as well. One day I counted 13 robins on our lawn. The biggest delight is when our little hummingbirds return in May! So fun to watch! xx
P.S. My Nana was born in England--my mother's mom.
Thirteen robins?! Wow!!! I think North American robins are rather different to ours, but still pretty iconic, right? And hummingbirds? You win!!! So exotic and beautiful - I'd love to see hummingbirds one day!
Our robins are different but yes I imagine it wouldn't be spring for both of us without seeing robins. Hummers are definitely a marvel. I really hope you get to see some one day. We have several that visit our feeders all summer. They are quite the aeronauts, diving and whizzing past us all season. Very entertaining!
nice work
BRAVO!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to read my post! I hope you are having an inspirational weekend. :)
